Peaceful and relaxing Positive: Zayro was incredibly friendly and helpful! Truly wanted to make our stay the best it could have been and it didn’t disappoint! It’s a beautiful location, with an amazing view over the Golfito bay. It was incredible to be able to sit and listen to the howler monkeys and watch birds, sloths & other monkeys from our deck and the communal spaces. The pool area is gorgeous, with comfortable sun loungers and with toilets & showers there. We were lucky with the weather and it meant we could use the grill every night and the cooking facilities had everything we needed. Helpful handbook in the room that included restaurants that do delivery which was great for our first night. We also did the Corcovado tour through the hotel which was really special. It felt very secluded and peaceful. We made use of the communal terrace and hot drink station as well as the gym and really enjoyed switching off and being away. The WiFi however is excellent so you can still be in touch with people if you want to be. Negative: So these aren’t things we didn’t like, just things to keep in mind - they aren’t negatives and we still would have chosen to stay at Maze Lodge but it would have made our stay better had we done it differently. If you aren’t coming by car, it is about 20 mins (over half of which is on gravel road) in a taxi and we were charged $35-40 each way by a variety of different drivers. You’ll need shopping supplies so if not coming by car, get them on arrival and get picked up from the supermarket (the supermarket isn’t far from the airport at all). Or if you aren’t coming by car, they kindly offer a delivery service of groceries. We didn’t really appreciate how far and expensive to town it was so didn’t do this but should have. If you have your own car/hire car, it’s probably more cost effective and you can go into town more readily. We saw the day we left that there is a car hire place in town so if we were to come again, we’d still stay at maze lodge but get a car. If you don’t want to hire car or don’t have one and need a taxi, they have a gentleman who knows the location but organise this advance of your arrival.

Zairo fue muy agradable, nos intento ayudar en todo momento. Tuvimos un problema porque no se nos avisó que solo se podi Positive: El alojamiento estaba limpio, tenia unas vistas preciosas, el personal atento y amable Negative: El camino para llegar a él es muy complicado, solo puedes acceder en 4x4, muy importante. Si no tienes ese tipo de vehiculo sera imposible acceder al apartamento. No tiene cafeteria ni lugar en el complejo para pillar comida. Si quieres desayunar, comer o cenar tienes que pedir a restaurantes de Puerto Jimenez para que te lo lleven a la habitacion.

Moment très agréable en pleine nature Positive: La chambre est très belle et en pleine nature, nous avons pu observer de nombreux animaux depuis notre balcon tels que des toucans, singes et autres. Joli point de vue en hauteur. Piscine très agréable. Les équipements de la cuisine sont très bien pour se faire à manger. Les propriétaires sont agréables et aux petits soins. Negative: Accès très difficile au lodge via une route de 5km pleine de roches et de trous, inaccessible sans un 4x4. Pas d’eau chaude dans la chambre, c’est un indispensable.

Positive: Sehr schön gestaltete Anlage, auf der man sehr viele Tiere (u.a Tukane und Affen) beobachten kann. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und schön gestaltet. Wir hatten etwas Angst vor der Fahrt, weil einige Bewertungen die Fahrt zu Unterkunft angemerkt haben. Können aber absolut nicht bestätigen, dass der Weg problematisch ist. Mit einem 4x4 sehr gut machbar

Best place to see wild life from your porch. Positive: Amazing location in the jungle. Teaming with wild life. We had toucans in the tree next to our casita the entire 2 days. There was a spectacle of monkeys and coati feeding from a tree next to our casita both mornings and evenings. Negative: Deck and pool furniture could be more comfortable. That can be solved by simply adding cushions.
